This site is built and operated by Dijji Softworks for Puck Empire, a hockey media brand. This page says exactly what the site keeps, what it sends, and who to ask. Effective September 16, 2026.

The short version

No analytics. Ads served by Google AdSense in the labeled slots, and nothing else from outside. No tracking cookies of our own. The site remembers a few of your own choices in your browser, talks to its own servers for the follower count and the shootout board, and nothing about your visit is sold or shared by us.

What stays on your device

The site uses your browser’s own storage, not cookies, to remember a handful of your own choices. None of it leaves your device unless you send it yourself, and all of it is a random string or a preference, never your name or an account.

• Sound. Whether you turned sound on or off, both for the arena and for the Deep Cut game, plus which soundtrack you last picked, so you are not asked again.
• Your games. The name you last posted to the shootout board, your progress and streaks in the shootout and in Deep Cut, and the Deep Cut game you have in progress, so a refresh resumes it. Deep Cut and the daily poll each keep a random, anonymous id on your device so the game counts one attempt and the poll counts one vote per device. The id is not tied to you and vanishes when you clear site data.
• Your cart. What you have added in the team store, so a refresh does not empty it.
• Small interface notes. Whether you dismissed the “add to home screen” hint, and whether the studio signature has already played its reveal this session, so each happens once.

Clearing site data in your browser removes all of it. The site works the same afterwards.

What the site sends, and where

Every request goes to this site’s own servers on Cloudflare. There are no third-party scripts.

• The follower count. The page asks our server for the current @puckempire figure. The request carries nothing about you.
• The shootout board. If you play and choose to post a score, we store the name you typed, your score, the round you reached, how long the run took, the day, and the two-letter country code Cloudflare attaches to the request. Your IP address is used to rate-limit the board and to run Cloudflare Turnstile’s bot check; it is not written to the board. Posted names are public on the board by design. Do not post a name you would not want shown.
• The Deep Cut game. When you answer a prompt, the answer you type is sent to our server to be checked and scored, and it is logged with the anonymous game id above, the tier and points, and the time. The answers you give are how the game scores rarity and stops the same device from answering a prompt twice; they are not tied to your name.
• The daily poll. When you vote, we store which option you picked with the anonymous voter id above, so the tally counts one vote per device. There is no name attached.
• The trades and signings desk. This page reads a list of public NHL transactions from our server. It sends nothing about you.
• Video and sound. The jumbotron clip and the rink ambience are files on this site, not embeds from a video platform.

The team store

The store is a preview today: sample products, no payments. When it opens, checkout will happen on Shopify’s own pages under Shopify’s privacy policy, and this page will say so in plain terms before that day.

Analytics and advertising

The site ships no analytics. The labeled advertising slots on the article pages, the Deep Cut game, the scoreboard, the draft board, the trades desk, the poll pages and the reader rail are filled by Google AdSense. Google serves those ads from its own servers and may use cookies and device identifiers to measure them and, outside the regions where the law requires consent first, to personalise them. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked before any of that happens, through Google’s consent message, and can change the answer from the same message later.

How Google uses that data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Anyone can turn off personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. We receive no personal data from the ads: only the aggregate counts a publisher sees.

Children

The site is a hockey publication for a general audience. It asks for no account, no email, and no personal details beyond the optional shootout name.

Changes

When the site changes what it stores or sends, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
